Marcella E. Ted Juvinall, 85, of Tilton passed away at 9:43 a.m. Sunday September 27, 2009. She was born September 20, 1924 in Cayuga, IN, the daughter of Clarence and Merna (Krout) Pilkington. Marcella will be missed deeply by her daughter, Pamela J. (Robert) Rahm of Tilton and her grandchildren, Michael (Kathy Moore) Wilt of Oakwood, Robert (Layne) Wilt of Odenton, MD, Raymond (Michelle) Wilt of Windsor, PA and Dale (Traci) Wilt of Muncie, IL. Others who will miss her smile, sense of humor and embrace include her siblings: Mervin (Carmen) Pilkington of Tilton, Morris Lee (Ellen) Pilkington of Tilton, and Margie Jean Gravat of Peoria, IL, 24 great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren: Shawn Wilt, Robert Wilt Jr., Candace Wilt, Brandon Wilt, Kyle Wilt, Dale Wilt Jr., Andra Wilt, Caitlyn Wilt, Zach Wilt, Jacob Wilt, Kayla Wilt, Bailey Wilt, Makenzie Wilt, Ayden Wilt, Marci Wilt, Cassiday Wilt, Calvin Wilt, Elysse Wilt, Candice Shepherd, Patrick Byrd, Tyler Gutierrez, Justin Moore, Karlee Moore and Anthony Moore and 5 great-great-grandchildren Christian Norat, Alex Norat, Mercedes Shepherd, Aryana Shepherd and Brooklyn Shepherd as well as many nieces and nephews. Marcella also leaves behind two best friends who have shared in lifes triumphs and tragedies: Nancy Butler of Danville, IL and Rose Rich of GA. Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fay Juvinall; sisters Merle Lowe and Mildred Bailey; a brother Melvin Pilkington; a grand-daughter Brittany Wilt and several aunts and uncles. Marcella was a professional waitress who loved being able to serve others and meet the needs of her customers. She retired from Skellys truck stop around 1978. Marcella loved Kickapoo State Park and all of the activities that it had to offer, especially fishing and mushroom hunting. Above all, Marcella loved her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren and cherished her family and friends. A public visitation ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2009 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville, IL. A short service, officiated by Pastor Steve Stanley, will follow. In lieu of burial services, a Memorial Celebration Service will be held on Saturday October 3rd, 2009. The service will be at 1:00 P.M. at Community Church of God on South Bowman Ave in Danville, IL. Pastor Joel Ferren will officiate.
