Marcella L. Thoma Cambron

Marcella L. Thoma Cambron, 83, of Danville, IL died peacefully May 11, 2016. She was born in New Richmond, Indiana in 1932 Marcella's parents, a sister and three brothers preceded her in death. She married John (Jack) Thoma in 1952 (died April 4, 1998 ). They had four children: John C.Thoma (deceased); Jeff Thoma; Kandis (Phillip) Conn; Julia (Tom) Shepard; four grandchildren; Jennifer Petersak; John (Lindsey) Shepard; Jeremy Shepard; Britney (Joe) Stelzer; two brothers and a sister that also survive. Marcella married James Cambron in 2003, he survives. Jim's love and devotion were immeasurable. Mrs.Cambron owned Resale Boutique in Danville, for many years before retiring. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the Altrusa Club in Danville. Marcella also enjoyed spending time with her dear friends in a Bunco Club as well as countless other family members and friends. A celebration of Marcella's life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Fr. Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Marcella had a great love for animals. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be given to: Pitbullrescueme.org/Illinois, Pitbullrescueme.org/Indiana or to a "no kill" animal shelter of your choice.
