Marcella Howard

Marcella Mae Howard, 82, of Danville, passed away at 1:03 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. Marcella was born on June 9, 1923 in Kewanee, Illinois, the daughter of Lester and Juanita (Robinson) Pierson. She married Ewell Howard on September 17, 1948 in Danville. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1973. She is survived by 3 sons- Butch (Beverly) Howard of Danville, Rick (Diane) Howard of Danville, and Dale (Hope) Howard of Westville; 4 daughters- Mary (Mike) Eberly of Danville, Jane Cook of Danville, Pam (Junior) Young of Danville, and Diane (Rick) Bacon of Winter Haven, Florida; 1 sister- Pauline Suchaczewski of Danville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sons- Ronnie Austin, David Howard, and Richard Howard. Marcella worked as a cashier at the V.A. Canteen for 23 years until she retired in 1995. She loved going to flea markets and garage sales. She also enjoyed going to stock car races, watching T.V. and crafts. She was a past member of the Moose Lodge 1001.
