Danville - Knee Mable Lucille Knee, 105, of Danville IL., passed away at 1:30 pm on Monday, May 27, 2013 at North Logan Health Care in Danville IL. Mable was born on December 8, 1907, to Ovid M. and Grace (Brenton) Rayburn in Greenwood IN. She married Clifford L. Knee on September 18, 1932, in Danville IL., he preceded her in death on April 27, 1978. Mable is survived by her son Donald D. (Ann) Knee of Danville; daughter Judith K. Copas of Brookston IN; five grandchildren - Kim (Jeff) Walsh and Kent (Cindy) Knee of Danville IL., Molly (Randy) Shedlock of Camby IN., Becky (Walt) Chitty of Chalmers IN., and J.C. (Amy) Copas of Brookston IN.; ten great-grandchildren - Ryan M. (Rachel) Walsh of Danville IL., Meagan (Chad) Tabler of Terre Haute IN., Michael and Dustin Burnett, Kolt and Kylie Knee of Danville IL., Levi and Jacquie Chitty of Chalmers IN., Max and Jake Copas of Brookston IN.; and three great-great-grandsons - Adian and Dean Walsh of Danville and Wyatt Tabler of Terre Haute IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters - Hazel (Roy) Shaw, Carrie (John) Roe and Estella (Russ) Spicer; four brothers Clarence (Mary) Stevens, Omer Rayburn, Wilbur Rayburn and Melvin (Pete) Rayburn. A woman of great faith Mable was an active member of Danville United Church of Christ up until her passing at 105 years old. A skilled cook and gardener Mable also raised chickens for their eggs which she would sell to local stores. She enjoyed reading about current events and always had time for embroidery and cross-stitching. She loved her family and took great pride in every grandchild, great-grandchild and great-great grandchild she as blessed with. A celebration of Mable's life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday May 30, 2013 at the Danville United Church of Christ in Danville IL. with Pastor Connie Moodie officiating and burial at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. A visitation will be held an hour prior from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made in Mable's name to the Danville United Church of Christ.
