Mabel 'Maxine' Trimmell

Danville - Mabel Maxine Trimmell, 96 of Danville, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 2, 2015 in her home in Danville, Illinois. Maxine was born the daughter of Edward and Matilda Marks on July 2, 1918 in Danville, Illinois. Maxine is survived by her children Lauren Peugh of Apache Junction, AZ, Lawrence G. (Jacqueline) Sisson Jr. of Danville, and Ross (Jenny) Trimmell of Danville; her grandchildren Melanie Rodriguez, Carrie (Brian) Hartman, Lawrence G. (Marie Denet) Sisson III, Tiffane M. Sisson, Matt (Ashley) Trimmell, Becky (Josh) Ponder; and her great-grandchildren Marco Iribe, Maggie Hartman, Hobey Hartman, Kylee Marie Barnes, Joseph Matthew Barnes, Avery Trimmell, Alexa Trimmell, Annelise Ponder, and Griffin Ponder. Maxine was preceded in death by her beloved parents Edward and Matilda Marks. Maxine was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose, the Fairmount Conservation Club, and the REACT CB club. She also served as the recording secretary for AIW and was an election judge in Vermilion County. Maxine loved to spend her time gardening, fishing, reading, and cooking. She also enjoyed playing euchre and poker with friends and family. Her favorite past times were sitting on her front porch watching the local wildlife, and also watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears play. More than anything Maxine loved to spend time with her family, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday May 6, 2015 at Sunset's Oakwood Chapel, a Life Celebration Home at 11 a.m. for Maxine Trimmell. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a burial to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
