Mabel M Marriage

Mabel M. Marriage, 87, of Westville passed away at 12:05 a.m. Friday March 2, 2012 at the Hawthorne Inn of Danville. She was born on May 31, 1924 in Westville, IL the daughter of Austin and Hattie (Wilson) Bishop. She married Wilbur Marriage on October 3, 1946 in Covington, IN. He preceded her in death in January of 1995. Survivors include: her son, Gregory A. (Kathleen) Marriage of Danville; her daughters, Kathy (Marriage) Watson of Westville & Tammy (Marriage) Lourdeau of Westville; one sister, Garnet (Bishop) Stones of Westville; her grandchildren, Kyle David Lourdeau, Troy L. (Jen) Lourdeau, Chelsie Lourdeau, Dr. Tara Marriage, Allyson (Steve) Geida, & Hannah Watson; her great grandchildren, Elias Medrano & Brooklyn Geida. She was preceded in death by: her parents; three brother, Willet, John, & Emmett Bishop; two sisters, Janet (Bishop) Gill & Violet (Bishop) Blakeney; and one granddaughter, Amber Lourdeau. Mabel graduated from Westville High School. She worked at Chuckles for many years before retiring in 1989. Mabel was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Westville. She enjoyed playing card games, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. She loved watching game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune. A celebration of Mabel's life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday March 6, 2012 at Trinity United Church of Christ in Westville. Connie Tapp-Bandy will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Forest Park Cemetery in Georgetown. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday march 6, 2012, two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ in Westville.
