M. Irene Reddy

M. Irene Reddy, 86, passed away at 3:55am Friday March 18, 2005 at her residence. She was born July 2, 1918 in Danville, the daughter of James and Mary (Phipps) Ervin. She married Robert D. Reddy April 17, 1938 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Danville. Irene is survived by her daughter Mary Katherine Howie of Danville, seven grandchildren, Tamie (Tom Brown) Kincaid of Champaign, Kay (Gary) McCree of Danville, Ray Howie of Danville, Kim (Dale ) Pinegar of Oakwood, Erik (Ellen) Howie of Danville, Nathan ((Michelle) Howie of Danville, and John Brown of Cropsey; ten great-grandchildren, Chad Cook, Robert Cook, Nicholas McCree, Kenneth McCree, Patrick McCree, Amy Pinegar, Lukas Pinegar, Karolina Howie, Cade Howie, and Samuel Howie; eight great-great grandchildren; and one special cousin Catherine Weddle of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, three sisters, and one granddaughter, Cheryl Brown. Irene was a member of Old Union Church of Christ, and former Sunday school teacher. She was a Girl Scout leader, enjoyed sewing and avid Chicago Cub fan. She previously worked for Berkowitz Luggage.
