Lynn Warren Manley

Lynn Warren Manley passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 76. Lynn, fondly known as Bubba, was born in Danville, IL, the son of late Guy Warren Manley and late Lois (Clark) Manley. He is survived by his nieces, brother-in-law, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Manley, his sister Elizabeth Delacruz, and sister Margaret Greenway.

Lynn graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in architecture. He worked as a self-employed architect running his own practice and later as a staff architect for the Illinois Department of Public Health. He admired the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and often travelled to visit his homes and buildings.

Throughout much of his life, he was an avid skier and enjoyed tackling double black diamonds on mountains across the country and abroad. He served as vice president of the Chicago Metropolitan Ski Council and a member of the Wild Bunch Ski Club for many years, combining his love of the sport and travel to organize ski trips.

He was also a lifelong motorcyclist, with a particular love for Harley-Davidsons. He valued the sense of adventure and freedom that came with the open road and spent his retirement exploring the country and travelling to bike rallies.

When not traveling, he was a snowbird, splitting his time between Illinois and Florida. In Florida, he appreciated the community of people, his family, and warm weather during the winter months.

Bubba was a true independent and creative spirit. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
