Lynn Marie Ingrum, 64, of Danville, IL passed away at 9:42 PM on March 30, 2026 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL with her family by her side.
Lynn was born on January 17, 1962 the daughter of James Richard and Carolyn Sue (Szakel) Smith in Indianapolis, IN. She married Jerry Wayne Ingrum on October 18, 1985 in Danville, IL.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Ingrum of Danville, IL, her daughter, Melissa DuVall of Indianapolis, IN, and her husband's children Tia (Sean) Cartee of Lyman, SC, Tiffany Patton of Lyman, SC, and Todd (April) Ingrum of Taylorville, IL, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one sister, Lori (Rob) Hood of Ellettsville, IN.
Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild, Dakota and one great grandchild, Oli.
Lynn was a member of St Paul’s Catholic Church and worked as a Job Coach and Instructional Assistant for Danville District 118. She enjoyed spending her free time attending her grandchildren’s basketball games, taking vacation to the beach with family and friends, watching the Andy Griffith Show and The Price Is Right, playing Bunco with the “Bunco Babes” and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at St Paul’s Catholic Church Danville, Illinois, 1303 North Walnut Street, Danville, Illinois 61832. Father John Cyr will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834.
Memorials may be made in Lynn’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the Special Education Department at Danville District 118.
