Lurna Coffman

Lurna Coffman, 83, of Catlin, IL passed away at 12:09 PM on May 21, 2026 at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville in Crawfordsville, IN.

Lurna was born on February 20, 1943 the daughter of Everett and NaOma (Metcalf) Morris in Paris, IL. She married James Coffman on May 5, 1963 in Danville, IL and he survives.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James Coffman of Crawfordsville, IN, her daughters, Angela (Kevin) Happe of Wentzville, MO and Lori (Craig) Clark of Crawfordsville, IN, her sister, Archie Nagele of Sheldon, IL as well as two grandchildren.

Lurna is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lera Barnhart.

Lurna loved to play tennis and worked at the Danville Tennis Club for many years. She enjoyed taking her rescue dog on walks and she also enjoyed vacationing in the Smoky Mountains with her husband.

As per her wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded and Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL.

Memorials may be made in Lurna’s memory to Vermilion County Animal Shelter, 14775 Catlin Tilton Road, Danville, IL 61932.
