Lulu B Holycross

Lulu B. Holycross, 74, of Westville, passed away at 10:24am, Friday, June 10, 2011, at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born on August 18, 1936, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Orville and Opal {Ross} McDaniel. She was married to Robert Holycross Sr on October 22, 1955, in Georgetown, until his passing on February 7, 1993. She is survived by: her sons, Robert Jr. (Evelyn) Holycross of Westville, Brad (Ronda) Holycross of Olivet, & Timothy Holycross of Danville; her daughter, Penny (Cliff) Reed of Westville; her nine grandchildren; her nine great grandchildren; her brothers, Charlie McDaniel of Tilton, Bob (Evalyn) McDaniel of Hawbuck, & Red McDaniel of Westville; and her sisters, Annabelle Atwood of Westville, Imogene Atwood of Belgium, & Opal (Paul) Trapp of Westville. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Jim, Norman, Bill & Junior. Lulu loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, a Life Celebration Home. She will be laid to rest in Danville National Cemetery.
