Lulabelle A. Shrout

Lulabelle A. Shrout, 88, of Georgetown, passed on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Hawthorne Inn Assisted living, Danville, IL. She was born on April 23, 1933 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Orville and Jennie (Peters) Mosier. She met the love of her life, Robert Gene Shrout at the Georgetown Skating Rink in 1951. They were united in marriage on January 7, 1952, until his passing on March 3, 2018. She is survived by her sons, Kimberly Clark Shrout of Georgetown, and Darrin Duane Shrout of Danville; granddaughter, Tiffany Starr Shrout; brother, Orville Mosier. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Justin Robert Shrout; one brother and five sisters. Lulabelle graduated from Indianola Community High School. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening in her flower garden, crocheting and crossword puzzles. Lulabelle also enjoyed playing Bingo and marbles. She was active in the Senior Center here in Georgetown. She loved her family dearly and she will be missed by all that knew her. A Celebration of Lulabelles life will be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois, 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Forest Park Cemetery in Georgetown. Memorial donation may be made in her honor to Liberty Village Garden Court. It is kindly requested that face masks be worn, and social distancing is practiced by attendees.
