Lucy Ellen Meeker

Covington, Ind. - Lucy Ellen Meeker, 88, formerly of Kingman, Indiana, passed away at 4:30 p.m. EDT Thursday, October 23, 2014 at The Waters of Covington. She was born May 10, 1926 in Cayuga, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Pansey Johnson Holycross. She married Donald F. Meeker on March 10, 1951 in Cayuga, Indiana. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2010. Survivors include her daughter, Sis(Dick)Keller of Cayuga, Indiana; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren and one brother, Dewey(Nancy)Holycross of Kingman, Indiana. Lucy was preceded in death by her daughter, Neoma Wills; granddaughter, Stacy Reissmann; grandson, Forrest Butler and two brothers, Floyd and Forrest Holycross. Lucy was a homemaker. She was a member of the #11 Mission Church in rural Dana, Indiana (Horseshoe Community). She enjoyed raising flowers, sewing and making ceramic pottery. Lucy especially enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren.
