Lucinda Jane Seaman

CHAMPAIGN- Lucinda Jane Seaman, 65, of Sidney and Champaign passed away at the home of her friend Debbie Kiel. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents Marcella and Audwrae Seaman. She is survived by one brother, Terry (Pam); one nephew, Jeff (Melissa); one niece, Angela; and two great-nephews, Cliff and Theo. Lucy was born on October 1, 1948 in Rockford, Illinois. She was an accomplished artist and writer. She pursued her career in California where she worked as the first woman on the ground crew for the Goodyear Blimp. She belonged to SCA, Magnificent Seven, Dorai, IMC Group, Science-fiction groups, and was a Co-Founder and Secretary of the Sidney Artists Guild. Cremation rights have been accorded by Sunset Funeral Home, 710 N. Neil St., Champaign. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
