Lucille E. Johnson, 89, of Danville passed away on March 27, 2018 at her home. She was born on June 11, 1928 in Westville, IL the daughter of Antone and Anna (Stenkovich) Balsis. She married Elmer Johnson, whom she loved dearly, on April 15, 1950 in Danville, he survives. Lucille will be deeply missed by her husband, Elmer, son, Terry Johnson, foster son, Elmer Johnson Jr., sister, Helen Kochell and two special nieces; Elizabeth Dahl and Mary Snodgrass. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 children; Gerald Johnson, John Johnson and Charlotte Johnson, 7 siblings and one granddaughter. Lucille had a spunky personality and was very outgoing. She loved to go walking and do handy-work with Elmer. She was a very lovable, happy go lucky person that never met a stranger. She will be missed by many. A celebration of Lucille's life will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 1 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Jim Blue officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Friday, March 30, 2018 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
