Lucille E Crawford

DANVILLE - Lucille E. Crawford, 81, of Danville, went to be with the Lord at 5:57pm, Saturday, February 2nd, 2008, at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Danville. Lucille was born on July 3rd, 1926, in Newell Township, IL, to Harry and Nellie Mae (Bryant) Young. She married Orville I. Crawford on August 30th, 1952, in Danville, IL, and he survives. Also surviving are the following: her children, Stephen A. (Evelyn) Crawford of Westville and Michael G. Crawford of Danville; her five grandchildren, Jason Crawford, Heather Crawford, Michael Paul Crawford, Nicholas Crawford, and Joseph Crawford; and her five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; four brothers, Milton, William, Everett, & Herman; and three sisters, Vivian Huff, Matilda Knight, & June Cadman. Lucille attended Henning High School and had been employed at Kresges, Three Sisters, and Block & Kuhl Department Store. She was a homemaker and her hobbies included making all kinds of crafts. She especially enjoyed her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed giving of herself to others and her loving little dogs: Tyler, Fred, & Noah. A celebration of Lucilles life will be at 11:00am, Thursday, February 7th, 2008, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville, IL. Kenneth Young will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery, Catlin.
