Lucille Berkley, 91, of Danville passed away on January 6, 2010 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Lucille was born October 3, 1918 in Margie, MN daughter of Arthur and Bertha Noggle Lathrop. She married Warren Berkley on January 16, 1939 in Dubuque, IA. Survivors include two children: Anita (fianc(c) Venden Johnson) Chester of Danville and Warren (fianc(c) Sandy) Berkley of Seffner, FL; brother: Bob (Doris) Lathrop; sisters: Phyllis Tutwiler and Ruby Watson; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband, foster son Bill Lahne, five brothers, and one sister preceded her in death. Lucille was a loving and dedicated homemaker, mother, and foster parent. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Assembly of God Church in Danville. A Celebration of Lucilles Life will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor Dave Rumley officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum in Danville.
