Lucas Parker

Lucas Parker, 31, of Danville passed away at Swann Special Care Center in Champaign, IL on February 13, 2026 at 2:48 PM.

Lucas was born on November 22, 1994 in Charlotte, NC the son of Leon and Karen (Young) Parker, Jr.

Lucas is survived by his mother, Karen Parker of Danville, IL, his father and stepmother Leon and Vickie Parker of Danville, IL, siblings, Druhan Parker, Rachel Parker, Brooke Parker all of Chicago, IL, step siblings, Lukas Wright of Danville, IL, Breana (Kevin) Albers of Fithian, IL and Kayla Wright of Oakwood, IL, his maternal grandmother, Sandra Young of Champaign, IL and paternal grandmother, Judith Parker of Danville, IL as well as many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Lucas is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William “Bill” Young and paternal grandfather, Leon Parker, Sr.

Lucas graduated from Danville High School and in his younger years participated in the AMBUCS softball program. He loved Barney and enjoyed a variety of music.

Lucas had a very special bond with his siblings, Druhan, Rachel and Brooke as they looked out for him from a very young age. He also had a special bond with both of his grandmothers as well as his special caregiver, Aunt Diane Fadl and his teacher and therapist, Cynthia Bobbett.

Over the past 31 years Lucas has had many loving nurses and caregivers. For the past seven plus years, he received wonderful care at the Swann Special Care Center in Champaign.

Lucas was happiest when he was around his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held and Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
