Lu Ann Towell

Lu Ann (Clark) Towell, 51, of Oakwood passed away at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana on May 21, 2016 at 11:57am. Lu Ann was born the daughter of Everett and Norma (Cessna) Clark on June 3, 1964 in Danville. She married Roger Towell on June 2, 1984, they later divorced. Lu Ann is survived by her parents, one daughter; Amanda (Jake) Bohlen, one grandson; Olson Bohlen, two sisters; Kathy Arney and Lynnette (Jeff) Owens, two nephews; Ryan Arney and Nick Owens, one niece; Kendra (Chris) Ziemnisky, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lu Ann enjoyed being a mom, spending time with her grandson and her family. She enjoyed doing puzzles, writing poems, was an avid Illini fan and loved all animals. A celebration of Lu Ann's life will be held at 11am on Thursday May 26, 2016 at Sunset Funeral home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jay Johnson. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 25, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers family asks that memorial donations be made to American Diabetes Association or University of Wisconsin at Madison to the transplant department.
