Lowell 'Doug' Pease

Lowell "Doug" Pease, 60, of Armstrong, saddled up Magic and went riding with the dogs at 1:20 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital. He was born on August 10, 1958 in Kankakee, IL the son of Lowell and Nancy (Minnich) Pease. He married Bridget Henry in Hope, IL. They have been together for 35 years, she survives. Also surviving include his three children, Tena (Mark) of Champaign, IL, Wayne (Kari) of Champaign, IL, and Bo (Trish) of Paxton, IL; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Barb (Don), Bonnie, and Donna (Wayne); one step sister, Michelle (Daniel); step mom, Cindy Pease; five nephews; and two nieces. Before coming to Champaign, IL Lowell worked various jobs such as a mover, cement framer and finisher, metalworker, construction laborer, and upholsterer. When he arrived in Champaign he worked for Burke's Upholstery for 18 years, then worked for Nu Vision until they closed, and lastly worked at Champaign Carpet Cleaners for 23 years until he got sick. Lowell was a member of the Kankakee Saddle Club for many years. He loved fishing, golfing, camping, bowling, and he loved to dance. Lowell had many loves but most of all he loved riding his horse, Magic. Lowell was always there for everyone and everybody. He will be missed dearly by his family. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the LBP Ranch. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center has been entrusted with arrangements.
