Mildred Louise Wilson, 84, of Westville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 at 6:12 a.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born Dec. 31, 1930, in Westville, the daughter of Kelly and Florence (Weisert) Boyle. She married the love of her life, Jesse Wilson Jr., on Nov. 3, 1951, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westville. He preceded her in death Sept. 1, 2000. Surviving are her children, Chris (Bob) Clifford of Westville, Kathie (Greg) Smowton of Merritt Island, Florida, Rick (Peach) Wilson of Clearwater, Florida, Mike (Corinne) Wilson of Merritt Island, Florida, and Lori (Mike) McMahon of Westville; grandchildren, Derek (Sara) Clifford, Jessica (Adam) Krankavitch, Kate (Korey) Rogers, Kelli (Josh) Howard, Kyle Wilson, Alex McMahon, Kenzie Smowton, Shannon Smowton, Reece Wilson and Avery Wilson; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Samuel and Henry Clifford and Alex and Ryann Howard; brother, Richard (Janet) Boyle of Belleville, Illinois; sister, Delores Walton of Tilton; and many other friends and family who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse; her brother, Joseph Boyle; and grandson, Darin Clifford. Louise worked as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville for 40 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar and Rosary, the Westville Walkers and St. Elizabeth Auxiliary. Louise's family was the most important part of her life. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss making memories around the table while eating her one-of-a-kind lasagna and chicken and noodles, and she sent "Grandma's cookies" to grandchildren in several states. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westville. Father Timothy Sauppe will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel in Westville. A Rosary will be said in her name prior to the visitation Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
