Louise Martha Jerdon

Louise Jerdon, 86, of Danville, passed away at 2:49 a.m. Thursday, March 8th, 2012 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center. Louise was born on July 27th, 1925, in Danville, the daughter of Mathew and Alida (Blum) Engeln. She married John Jerdon on October 2nd, 1955, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He preceded her in death. She is survived by a great-niece- Martha (Anthony) Williams of Fairmount; two great-nephews- Jack (Debbie) Johnson II of Zepher Hills, Florida and Michael (Karol) Schriber of Pinehurst, North Carolina; and several great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters- Marguerite (Charles) Bennett and Lillian Wakefield, and one niece- Charlene (Jack) Johnson. She graduated from Danville High School in 1944. She enjoyed spending time with her family and dog. She also enjoyed watching game shows and reading the National Enquirer. A Celebration of the life of Louise Martha (Engeln) Jerdon will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 at Danville National Cemetery, with Pastor Scott Davis officiating. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
