Louise Divan

Louise Divan, 100, of Oakwood, passed this Life on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the Farmer City Rehab and Health Care Center, in Farmer City, IL. She was born on September 17, 1909, in Oakwood, the daughter of Mr. George W. Bailey and Mrs. Mary D. (Meyers) Bailey. On September 17, 1929, Louise married Mr. Jesse W. Divan in Newtown, IL. He preceded her in death in 1994. Survivors include her two daughters, Betty (husband Robert) Lucas of Farmer City, and Evelyn (husband Daniel) Laroe of Westminster, Colo. Her six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, 26 great step-grandchildren, 24, great-great step-grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandson also survive Louise. Her parents, son, Eugene, and her eleven siblings precede Louise in death. Louise was a homemaker and a caretaker. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, baking, and Sewing. She will be missed by all that knew her. A graveside service for Louise Divan will began at 2:00pm on Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Newtown Cemetery. Pastor James Blue will officiate the service.
