Louise A. Free

Louise A. Free, 91, of Danville passed away at 8:00 PM on October 31, 2022 at Pleasant Meadows in Chrisman, IL.

Louise was born on January 8, 1931 the daughter of Horace and Louise (Fallert) Cochran in Dayton, OH. She married Philip Franklin Free on June 28, 1952 in Dayton OH and he preceded her in death on October 22, 2013.

Survivors include her five children, Carol (Eugene) Newman, Michael (Karen) Free, Philip Jr. (Susi) Free, Patricia (Kelly) Crisp, and Timothy (Karla) Free, her grandchildren, Michelle, Neil, Jessica, Kendyll, Chuck, Christopher, Amy, Justin, Kari, Erica, Stephanie, Taylor, and Logan; twenty-seven great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and one sister, Roberta Emerson.

She was preceded in death her parents, husband, Philip, one daughter, Beth (Kenneth) Levra, two sisters, Jane Hughes and Pat Wampler and one brother, Jerry Cochran.

Louise was a member of St Pauls Catholic Church and was retired from DACC where she taught adult reading classes. After reaching her goal with Weight Watchers, she became a leader for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending her free time on the family boat in Marshall and fishing with her family and in her later years obtained a passion for reading.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at St Pauls Catholic Church, 1303 North Walnut Street Danville, Illinois, 61832. Father Szydlik will officiate. Burial will be in St Peter and Pauls Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 9-10:00 AM at St Pauls Catholic Church. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Louises memory to St Pauls Catholic Church or the Lincolnland Hospice of Sarah Bush Lincoln.
