Louis J. Lourdeau, 79, of Westville, passed away at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Provena U.S.M.C. - Logan Campus in Danville. He was born October 16, 1925 in Westville, Illinois, the son of Aime and Louise (Billot) Lourdeau, Jr. He married Mary L. Pepping on August 26, 1946 in Westville, Illinois. Louis is survived by: his wife of over 58 years- Mary L. Lourdeau of Westville; 3 Sons- Larry J. (Roxanne) Lourdeau of Tilton, Thomas L. Lourdeau of Westville and David A. (Brenda) Lourdeau of Spokane, Washington; 1 Daughter- Amy Lou (Owen) Barney of Westville; 8 Grandchildren " Kyle, Troy and Chelsie Lourdeau and their Mother- Tammy, Nikki (Shane) Boyer, Becky and Brandi Lourdeau, Larry (Lisa) Barney and Richie Woods; 5 Great-Grandchildren " Shannon and Brandi Woods, Jerrid Barney, Paige McNeal and Wyatt Boyer. His parents, 2 Granddaughters- Amber Lourdeau and Tammy (Barney) Woods, 1 Great-Grandson- Tyler Barney and 2 Sisters - Flora Delores Onley and Zelia L. Baker preceded him in death. Louis served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as an F-2/C from December 23, 1943- November 20, 1945. He worked for Elliot Lumber Company in Danville as yard boss for 25 years. He also worked for Ryder Truck Line for 12 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Westville, Westville American Legion Post #51 and V.F.W. Post #728 of Danville. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening, camping and bowling. He never knew a stranger.
