Kingman, Ind. -- Louetta M. "Tootie" Byerly, 70, of Kingman, Indiana, passed away at 4:18 p.m. EDT Monday, April 21, 2008 at her residence in rural Kingman, Indiana. She was born November 3, 1937 in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of Roscoe and Mary Lucinda Rhodes Williams. She married Ronald E. Byerly on July 21, 1956 in Hammond, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include: two daughters, Roni Jane(John)Replogle of Champaign, Illinois and Cindi(Jerry)Burton of Columbia, Kentucky; one son, Clayton(Bobbie)Byerly of Kingman, Indiana; her mother, Mary Lou Williams of Kingman, Indiana; four grandchildren, Jessica Anne Burton; Joshua Dale Burton; Stephen Dale Byerly and Jaclyn Nicole Byerly; one brother, David Williams of Michigan City, Indiana; two special friends, Shelli Pettigrew of Westville, Illinois and Norma McGee of Estell Springs, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Roger Williams. Tootie formerly worked at the Citizens State Bank in Clinton and Cayuga, Indiana. She was also a former secretary at the Kingman Co-Op, farmer and tupperware saleswomen. For the past 25 years she was a self employed insurance agent. Tootie was also co-owner of the Kingman Mobile Home Park. She was a 1955 graduate of Calumet High School in Griffith, Indiana. Her memberships included the Fountain Chapter #204 O.E.S. and the Red Hat Society. Tootie enjoyed crocheting, reading and making pictures of her grandchildren. She also liked going out every morning for coffee with the Kingman Coffee Klutch. Most of all, Tootie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Friday, April 25, 2008 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Ken Majors; Burial: Kingman Fraternal Cemetery in Kingman, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the funeral home with O.E.S. memorial services at 7:30 p.m. EDT.
