Lorraine Ireland

Lorraine Ireland, 87, of Georgetown, passed away at 12:50a.m., Monday, November 28, 2011, at North Logan Health Care, Danville. She was born the daughter of Raymond and Dade {Broady} Scott on December 27, 1923, in Danville, IL. She was united in marriage to Freeman Ireland on May 24, 1943, in Georgetown until his passing on December 9, 1996. She is survived by: her son, James (Linda) Ireland of Danville; her four grandchildren, Douglas (April) Ireland of Danville, Michael (Trea) Claypool of Haymarket, VA, Cindy (Bryan) Bulat of Loves Park, IL, & Jeremy Claypool of Covington, IN; and her seven great grandchildren, Kenzie, Jaxon, Jonathan, Michael, Hudson, Brady, & Ian. She was preceded in death by her parents. Lorraine was a loving homemaker who was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Georgetown and was also a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to cook for her family and will be missed by all of them. A celebration of Lorraine's life will be held at 10:00a.m., Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, Georgetown, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be 4p.m.-8p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at the funeral chapel. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery.
