Lori Ann Robertson Sams

Newport, Ind. -- Lori Ann Robertson Sams, 50, of Newport, passed away at 10:07 p.m. EST Friday, November 20, 2009 at Union Hospital Clinton in Clinton, Indiana. She was born March 5, 1959 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Earl and Wanda Osborn Robertson. Survivors include her children: Jennifer(Sean)Bridgman of Perrysville, Indiana; Tyler Sams and Bailee J. Plecker both of Newport, Indiana; special friend, Gerald Plecker of Newport, Indiana; four grandchildren; one sister, Martha Hughes of Newport, Indiana; one brother, Ted Robertson of Perrysville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Dustin L. Williams. Lori formerly worked at General Motors in Tilton, Illinois in the cafeteria department. Later she worked in area nursing homes and was very involved in home health care. She enjoyed rummage sales, writing, game shows, dancing, sports and the outdoors. She was very fond of her two dogs, Tico and Raisin. Lori especially enjoyed helping her many friends and family. A gathering of family and friends will take place at 10:30 a.m. EST, Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the Newport American Legion in Newport, Indiana. Cremation was accorded with burial of cremains to be held at a later date. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
