Loretta M. Eldridge

Clinton, Ind. - Loretta M. Eldridge, 74, of Clinton and formerly of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 10:45 a.m. EDT Monday, June 5, 2017 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

She was born April 19, 1943 in Carroll, Iowa the daughter of the late Enoch and Mildred (Barratt) Sorensen.

Loretta married Irvin E. Eldridge on June 2, 1973 in Danville, Illinois. He survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Angie Eldridge of Clinton, Indiana; two sons, Eric (Charish Norman and her son Ethan) Eldridge of Terre Haute, Indiana and Darren Eldridge of Clinton, Indiana; two sisters, Elaine Lauritsen and Rose (Maynard) Madsen both of Audubon, Iowa and one brother, George (Joan) Sorensen of Audubon, Iowa; special friends, Gerald (Shirley) Downs; Mark (Donna) Miller and Lee Miller.

Loretta was preceded in death by her aunt and uncle who raised her, Neils (Vera) Anderson, and one brother, Harold Sorensen.

Loretta was a former secretary at First Baptist Christian School in Danville, Illinois. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Danville and the Waterman Baptist Church in Lodi, Indiana. Loretta enjoyed music, and playing the organ and piano. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Funeral services: 6 p.m. EDT Friday, June 9, 2017 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Dan King; Visitation: 4 p.m. EDT until time of services on Friday, June 9, 2017. Cremation will be accorded following services. Family request contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. EDT until time of services.
