Loretta 'Lori' Sanks

Loretta Lynn "Lori" Sanks, 46, of Danville, died at 6:05 am Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Carle Cancer Center in Urbana. Lori was born on April 13, 1973 in Danville, IL the daughter of Gordon and Joanna (Herron) Alexander. She married Tim Landers in October 1996 and they later divorced. On September 21, 2019 she married Mikel Sanks.

Lori is survived by her husband, Mikel; her daughter, Morgan Lynsie Landers of Veedersburg, Indiana; both of her parents; as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Lori graduated from Bismarck-Henning High School and later graduated from Danville Beauty School. She attended Christian Union Church near Covington, Indiana. Lori was a beautician in and around Danville and worked at Denises Cuts and Stuff for the major part of her career. She like to read, sit on her front porch enjoying nature, and she liked to be with her two fur babies; Isaac and Edgar.

A celebration of Loris life will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tony DeMoss. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held the evening prior to the service from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Loris name to any Womans Cancer fund of your choice.
