Lorene A. Ziegler

Champaign - A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorene Ziegler, 84, of Champaign will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at St. Patricks Church, 708 W. Main St., Urbana. The Rev. Fr. Joe Hogan will officiate. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Sunset Funeral Home, 710 N. Neil St., Champaign. Mrs. Ziegler died Wednesday morning, March 18, 2015, at home. She was born January 16, 1931, in Champaign, a daughter of Harold and Lucinda (Sullivan) Younglove. She married Joe Ziegler on May 2, 1959, in Chicago. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2007. She is survived by two sons, Michael Ziegler, (Pam), Mahomet, and John Ziegler, (Teri), Champaign; one daughter, Judy Ziegler, Lakeland, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Stephen, Jason, Matthew and Emily. Mrs. Ziegler was a retired bookkeeper. She had worked for McGladrey, Hendrickson and Pullen, and Royse & Brinkmeyer. She was a member of St. Patricks Church, Urbana and Holy Cross Church, Champaign. She was a cantor and a member of the Holy Cross choir. No matter what happened in her life she always said God is Good!
