Lorena Fern Mcbride

Lorena Fern McBride, 86, of Hoopeston, passed away at 11:35pm on Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Hoopeston Community Nursing Home in Hoopeston, IL. She was born on March 4, 1925, in Alvin, IL, the daughter of Frank and Maude (Curry) Harvey. Both are deceased. She was married to Clay Hobie McBride until his death on April 10, 1972. Survivors include her five children; Bill Hanna, Dennis (Laura) McBride; Michael McBride; Steven (Lori) McBride; and Carol (Joe) Hoskins. Her eight grandchildren; Kent (Jane) Hoskins; Brian(Shanon) Hoskins; Heather Hoskins; Sarah McBride; Lindsay McBride; Steven McBride; Sherrill McBride, Kaleb McBride, seven great-grandchildren; Erin Hoskins; Craig Hoskins, Breanna Hoskins, Raelyn Hoskins; Brendan Hoskins, Kameron Hoskins; Taylor Hoskins; and one great-great grandson; Kaiden Hoskins also survives her. Lorena is also survived by her three brothers; Dale Harvey; Benny Harvey; Richard Harvey; and her four sisters; Cork Wright; Grace Bolser; Patricia Dee Dee Davis; and Gloria Ice. In addition to her parents, and husband, Hobie her brother; Don Harvey, and her sister; Esther Harvey, preceded Lorena in death. She also had numerous nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and nieces. She was a homemaker, and loved her family unconditionally. She enjoyed reading, and spending time with her entire family, and will be missed by all that knew her. The McBride family would like to thank the staff at the Hoopeston Community Nursing Home for their compassion and caring support during Lorenas ten year stay. A Celebration of Lorena McBrides Life will begin at 3:00pm on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville, with Entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Parks Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1pm until the time of Lorenas service.
