Loren Guy Burroughs, 67, of Chrisman passed away at 5:54 AM on Monday, June 26, 2017 at his home in Chrisman. He was born on March 24, 1950 in Opheim, Montana to Roy and Edith (Tichenor) Burroughs. He married April Lomax on September 18, 2016 in Chrisman. Loren is survived by his wife, April, daughter, Brook K. (Jon) Coffman of White Heath, IL and a son, Cody R. (Ashley) Burroughs of Seatonville, IL., grandchildren, Austin and Camden Coffman of White Heath, IL; brothers Boyd (LaDonna) Burroughs and Brian Burroughs; sisters Margaret (Jim) Suhr, Cheryl (Jeff) Petra, Laurel Ann (Chris) Larson and Candyce (Paula Swedeen) Burroughs; and multiple nieces and nephews. Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Edith, and older brother Gary Burroughs. Loren had a life-long passion for horses, having spent most of his life showing, breeding, training, judging, and all other aspects of horsemanship. Horses brought him joy beyond anything else. He loved his family and enjoyed the simple things in life. He was very down to earth and always had a joke to tell. He loved to tease those he loved the most. He and April enjoyed visiting his family and friends in Montana and got great joy from helping Boyd and Brian with moving cattle. He also loved talking to friends and family on the phone. He was always up for a good conversation. His family and friends will dearly miss his smile, jokes, and easy-going attitude. Per Loren's wishes, cremation rights will be accorded. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, IL is assisting the family with arrangements. Please join Loren's family in sharing memories, photos, and videos on his tribute wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
