Loren Carpenter

Loren Carpenter, 84, of Covington, IN, passed away on Saturday March 23, 2024, at the Waters of Covington. Loren was born on December 17, 1939, in Monticello, IN, the son of William and Naomi (Babb) Carpenter.

Loren leaves behind one daughter; Jennifer Adamec, two grandchildren; Laura Smith and Zachary Adamec, his stepdaughter Diana Dotson and her family.

Loren was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Virginia White and later his second wife, Madonna Morgan, his sister Lula Bell, two brothers, Charles and Robert Carpenter.

Loren served his country in the United States Army for twenty-one years before retiring from there. He went on and drove a truck after his retirement. Loren enjoyed his time with people and doing activities that had a little food with them. He dressed up as Santa Claus while at the Waters in Covington and enjoyed the company of his friends there. Loren could be found talking about the weather or watching his birds eat from the feeder outside his window.

A visitation will be held on Friday March 29, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, IN, 420 3rd street, from noon 1est with a service at 1est burial to follow at Danville Nation Cemetery with military rights.
