Lorema E. Vice

Lorema E. Vice, 91, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 10:20am, Friday, January 10, 2014, at Rose Walk Health Care, Indianapolis, IN. She was born on July 11, 1922, in Glasgow, KY, the daughter of Ed and Nettie {Keen} Simpson, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Vice on October 13, 1956, in Georgetown until his passing in 1990. She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Sutton of San Diego, CA, Kenneth W. Vice of Indianapolis, Virginia E. Barker of Georgetown, Cathern M. Pataki of Fithian, Barbara M. Elliott of Potomac, M. Jane Giesert of Florida, Betty J. Rockwell of Fithian, & Lana K. Miller of Georgetown; her several grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her two daughters and six brothers. Lorema worked for Petersons, as well as, the Sewing Factory in Georgetown, and later worked for Ben Franklin Store in Georgetown. She loved going bowling, sewing, & ceramics. A celebration of Loremas life will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Alzheimers Association or to Breast Cancer Research.
