Lora Frances Ross

With great sadness the family of Lora Frances Richardson Ross announces her peaceful passing at home surrounded by love on December 28, 2024. Frances was born October 20,1933, to Oscar and Clara Richardson in Covington, IN. On Nov 10, 1951, she married the love of her life Robert Ross Sr. Together they built a life together raising their 4 sons: until his passing in June 1995.

Frances was an avid crafter at heart; her beautiful quilts are treasured by anyone who received them.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Sherman, George (Louise), Guthrie Richardson and Elizabeth (Paul) Keller, in laws; Clifford and Sadie Ross, and Robert’s siblings; Mick (Lucile), Ivan (Esther) Ross and Karen (Ron) Spazia. Two sons; Robert (Bud) Ross Jr and James (Jim) Ross

Frances leaves behind a legacy through her sons Thomas Ross and Lloyd (Lynida) Ross; her grandchildren Brad (Brandy) Ross, Bill (Tanya) Ross, Tony (Brandy) Ross, Shawn (Megan) Ross, Kendall (Amanda) Newell, Sabrina (John) Boardman, Samantha (Jeremy) Mattingly, Randy Ross, Alyssa (Levi) Ross, Tristen (Shia) Ross, and Cory (CJ) (Cassidy) Ross; 24 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren and an abundance of nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a visitation on Friday, January 3, 2025; 11-2 followed by her funeral at 2 at Sunset Funeral Home in Covington, IN. 420 3rd street. Frances will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband in Lower Mounds Cemetery.
