Lora Lee Davan

Lora Lee Davan, 92, of Covington, IN passed away at 3:25 AM on July 17, 2018 at the Waters of Covington. She was born on November 17, 1925 in rural Covington, the daughter of Marvin and Cleo (Berto) Jenks. She married William Davan on July 19, 1944 in Covington, IN. He preceded her in death in 1998. Lora was a member of the First Church of Christ in Covington for 40 years. She was also a house cleaner for many years. She loved to watch Indiana basketball and the Chicago Cubs. In the summer time Lora couldn't wait to sit out on the front porch and be friendly and talk to anyone who went by. She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Frank) Hayn of Covington. Lora Lee was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Fred Jenks and three cats; Putty, Susie and Queenie. Visitation for Lora will be held from 5-7 PM EST on Friday, July 20, 2018 at First Church of Christ in Covington. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the church with Pastor Mike Harshman officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington.
