Lonnie Dean Trinkle

Howard, Ind. - Lonnie Dean Trinkle, 63, of Howard, passed away at 10:30 p.m. EDT Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was born February 9, 1950 in Clinton, Indiana, the son of Gladys Sowers Miller and Clifford Trinkle. He married Sondra L. Marshall on November 17, 1970 in Covington, Indiana. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Tommy(Michelle)Trinkle and David Trinkle both of Howard, Indiana; his mother, Gladys Miller of Danville, Illinois; five grandchilden; one great grandson; two sisters, Phyllis Torres of Danville, Illinois and Patty Bollinger of Ohio. Lonnie was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Trinkle and one brother, Roger Trinkle. Lonnie was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, mushrooming and ginseng hunting. Graveside services and burial with military honors will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. EDT at Rush Creek Cemetery, Tangier, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Steve Crum. There will be no visitation. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
