Lola May Barr, 85, of Danville, died at 4:30 am on Monday, January 02, 2006 at Colonial Manor in Danville. She was born February 1, 1920 in Georgetown, IL the daughter of Ray E. and Ita L. (Church) Boggess. She married William Barr on November 2, 1945 in Cayuga, IN. He survives. Lola is also survived by three sons: John (Jennifer) Barr of Springbay, IL, Tom (Marilyn) Barr of Marblefalls, Texas, Bob (Terry) Barr of Elk Grove Village, IL; one daughter: Kathy (Steve) Webb of Perrysville, IN; one brother: Robert Boggess of San Diego, CA; Nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Howard, Russell and Olin; two sisters: Mildred and Eileen. Lola was a homemaker for most of her life. During World War II she worked at Western Electric and Bell Laboratory in New York, New York. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Bismarck, IL. Lola loved taking care of her flowers, feeding humming birds, and reading. She loved her family very much.
