Lola Farnsworth

Lola Marie Farnsworth, 86, of Bismarck, IL passed away September 8, 2006 at N. Logan Health Care. She was born September 16, 1919 in Blount Township west of Bismarck, daughter of Fred Goodner and Iva Dell Meeker. She married Lorenzo J. Larry Farnsworth on August 8, 1946, in Danville. He survives along with many relatives and good friends. Lola was preceded in death by her parents, brother: John Isaac Goodner, and sister: Laura Belle Keller. Mrs. Farnsworth worked at Musebeck Shoe Factory prior to her marriage and later helped her husband operate a cattle farm near Cayuga, IN, for many years. After leaving the farm, she moved to Bismarck with her husband. She was a loving wife and homemaker, canning vegetable from her gardens and making her own clothes. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2006. A Celebration of Lolas life will be held at 11:00 am September 12, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Danville, with Paul Ziebart officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Johnson cemetery in Danville. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
