Lois Winland

Lois Winland, 90 of Ridge Farm, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman. She was born August 1, 1925 in West Union, IL the daughter of Ivan and Nellie L. (Kile) Cline, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Gerald W. Winland on July 11, 1948 in West Union. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2010. Others who will miss her include: her children, Gregory (Theresa) Winland of Georgetown, Jennifer (Steve Estes) Winland of Tilton, and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Winland of Clinton, IN; grandchildren, Troy (Amanda) Winland, Kyle (Jennifer) Winland, Heather (Darrin) Johnson, Craig (Jami) Hawkins, Ashley Winland, Michael (Shauna Whitlow) Winland, Matthew Winland, and Masen Winland; 14 great-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Cline of Marshall ; special sister-in-law, Norma Cline of Marshall; special brother-in-law, Leon Williamson of Palestine; and special friend, Mary Jane Tibbs of Ridge Farm. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, brother, Burton Cline, and sisters, Flora Ann Williamson and Maxine Davidson. Lois was a graduate of Kansas High School and Paris School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in the OB department at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 25 years. Lois was a member of the Ridge Farm United Methodist Church in Ridge Farm. She was very active in the community and the church. Lois was awarded the Ridge Farm Citizen of the Year Award and was active with the Ridge Farm United Methodist Church Women's Club. She enjoyed reading, working puzzle books, playing Euchre, and writing poetry. Lois will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Lois's life will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown. Matt Fillicsky will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm. Memorials in Lois's name can be made to Ridge Farm United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 11-1pm Thursday, March 31, 2016 prior to services at the funeral home.
