Lois M. Parsons, 83, of Danville, passed away at 5:00pm, Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born on March 13, 1929, in Crawfordsville, IN, the daughter of Ralph and Irene {Flake} Odle, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Gordon L. Parsons on May 22, 1946, in Danville, IL, until his passing on November 18, 1983. She is survived by: her son, Gordon (Charlotte) Parsons of Danville; her daughter, Phyllis (Ronald) Cox of Danville; her fourteen grandchildren; her 37 great grandchildren; her twelve great-great grandchildren; and her brothers, Floyd (Ruby) Scott of Oakwood, IL, & Donald Scott of Danville. Lois worked for Model Star and also at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She enjoyed WWF wrestling and western movies. She also enjoyed watching the game shows, Wheel of Fortune and Price Is Right. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. A celebration of Lois' life will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Phil Miller officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. She will be laid to rest in Danville National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to her family to assist with expenses.
