Lois Laverne Townsend

Lois Laverne Townsend, 92, of Danville, passed away at 11:45pm on Saturday August 26, 2017. Lois was born on June 5, 1925 the daughter of Merle and Myrtle Slade. Lois married Wilbur Andrews and later remarried to Richard Townsend. Surviving Lois are her five children, Garry Andrews, Patricia Cessna, Nancy Reddy, Mark Townsend, Michael Townsend, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and special friend Pauline Hendrix. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters. Lois was an avid reader and euchre player. She also enjoyed caring for her plants. The most important thing is Lois' life was her family and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday August 30, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Oakwood. Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am at the funeral home.
