Lois Maxine (Shank) Jones, 83, of Danville died at 5:15 am April 12, 2009 at Provena United Samaritans Hospital in Danville, IL. Lois was born December 20, 1925 the daughter of Harry Aloe Shank and Amy Idelle (Hillman) Shank. Lois married Ozzie O. Main in 1946, after his death, she later married Earl M Jones in 1980, who survives. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and one grandson. Lois has two daughters, Crystal Kay (Steve) Powell and Kathy Faye (Wayne) Sandlin; one step-daughter Junie Malea Crippin; three grandchildren, Amy, Steven and Ricky; seven step-grandchildren, Chad, Danielle, Wayne, Jeremy, Jennifer, Jody and James, and also ten great-grandchildren. Lois was a stay at home mom and later was employed by Bullock Overhead Garage Doors of Tilton. She enjoyed needlework, setting up flea-markets and vacationing. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved going out to eat and meeting new people. She was an immediate friend to everyone she met. A Celebration of Life will be held for Lois on Wednesday, April 15, 2oo9 at 3:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville with Jimmy Hodges officiating. Burial will be immediately following the service at Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck, IL. Visitation will be held the night before on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
