Lois Hart

Lois Hart, 72, of Georgetown, passed away at 10:25pm, Thursday, January 24, 2019, at her home. She was born on March 28, 1946, in Paris, IL, the daughter of Charles and Clella {Wade} Barrett, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Tim Hart on August 19, 1994. He will miss her dearly.

She will also be missed by: her children, Patrick (Angie) Kelly, Jason Hart, Alicia (Matthew) Ford, & Adam (Kim) Hart; her siblings, Doris Stone, Rose Smith, Fred Barrett, & Luella (Dave) Knight; her grandchildren, Bryce, Jordan, Frankie, Christopher, Kevin, Cheyenne, Chase, Cameron, Evangelina, Tyler (Maddie), Timmy, & Tenley. She was preceded in death by: her son, Brian Kelly; her sister, Ruth Dickerson; and her brother, Frank Barrett.

Lois graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and later from Eastern Illinois University. She loved teaching and helping children succeed through school. Lois was an inspiration to teachers around her because she lived her life selflessly and put others first. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Westville. She enjoyed supporting the La Salette boys in Olivet. She really loved attending the family ballgames and all the grandkids events. Lois will be dearly remembered by all those whose lives she touched and inspired.

The family would like to thank the La Salette Academy Boys, Carle Hospice and Oncology Room and all the doctors at Carle who helped her through her tireless fight with cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lois will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at St. Marys Catholic Church, 231 N State St, Westville, with Father Saupp officiating. Visitation will be 3:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown with a Rosary Service to be held at 2:30pm. She will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm. In lieu of flowers, family would like memorial donations to be given in Lois name to Youth of St. Marys CCD Program or Carle Cancer Center.
