RIDGE FARM- Lois Ellen (Miller) Ellis, 79, of Ridge Farm, went to be home with the Lord at 11:53am on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman, IL. Lois was born April 5, 1926, in Ridge Farm, the daughter of Henry Clay and Olive Beatrice (Landis) Miller. Both her parents preceded her in death. On December 5, 1948, Lois married Mr. Gene Everett Ellis at the Vermilion Grove Friends Meeting, in Vermilion Grove, IL. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2001. Lois leaves behind: her three sons, John (Kathy) Ellis of Chrisman, David (Nancy) Ellis of Quaker, IN, and Gary (Marie) Ellis of Vermilion Grove; her brother, Elmer (Marjorie) Miller of Sidney, IL; two sisters, Phyllis (Ralph) Haas of Champaign and Jayne (Gene) Brownfield of Danville; her nine grandchildren, Jason, Clay, Michael, Matthew, Jacob, Savannah, Jonathan, Nathanael, and Ethan; her two step-grandchildren, Nick Roberts of Fithian and Joe Ellen (Mike) Jarvis of Mahomet; and her three great-grandchildren, Caden, Mason, and Morgan. Her parents, her brother-Rex, and her sister-Rosemary, preceded her in death. Lois was a graduate of the Ridge Farm High School and later was employed at the Danville Metal Stamping Factory with 24 years of service. She was a member of the Ridge Farm Friends Meeting. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and volunteering at the Hog Wallow Farm located in Dana, IN, with her family and friends. She will be missed by all that knew her. A celebration of Lois life is scheduled for 12:00pm on Monday, March 6, 2006 at the Ridge Farm Friends Meeting located at E. North St. in Ridge Farm. She will be laid to rest in Vermilion Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 10am to Noon on Monday, Mach 6, 2006 at the church. Memorial donations may be made in Loiss name to the Vermilion Grove Cemetery Association.
