Lois L. Covington

Danville – Lois Lee Covington, 77, of Danville, passed away at 9:06 AM on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Villas of Holly Brook. She was born on February 14, 1948, in Danville to Elmer Drews and Margaret (Duprey) Schweitzer. She married Leamon W. Covington, who precedes her in death.

She is survived by five children, Scott W. Covington of Westville, Jeffrey L. (Lisa) Covington of Ozark, MO, Lindy (Mike) Hoskins of New Port Richey, FL, Kara K. (Pat) Sharpf of Danville, and Wade L. (Jessica) Covington of Panama City Beach, FL; ten grandchildren, Nickolas S. (Ashlynn) Covington, Brock L. Covington, MacKenzie Covington, Tanner J. Covington, Matteson (Cameron) Lee, Sloan (Tatum) Sharpf, Evan Wangler, Drew (Jenny) Howe, Lacey (Billy) Coon, Kilee Howe, and Brianna A. (Drew) Burton; four siblings, Joyce Drews-Macek, Diana Hollar, Lisa (David) Clapp, and Michael (Carrie) Drews; many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Per Lois’ wishes, no services will be held at this time. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834 has been entrusted with cremation arrangements.
