Oakwood – Lloyd V. “Bud” Martin, 81, of Oakwood, IL, passed away at home on January 19, 2026. Bud was born in Danville, IL on August 18, 1944, to Lloyd V. and Nellie (Talbert) Martin. He married Camilla McGlosson on December 6, 1964, and she survives.
Other survivors include two children, Erik (Kathy) Martin and Sandy (Gordon) Green; three granddaughters, Chealyn (Chris) Tincher, Kayla (Matt) Walker, and Lauren (Lukas) Roberts; and five great grandchildren, Kalani, Kroix, and Kai Tincher, Aaliyah Davis-Smith, and Azariah Roberts. He is also survived by a brother and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a special uncle and aunt.
Bud retired from General Motors Foundry as an electrician after 30 years of service. Even after retiring, he kept in touch with his buddies from GM every week during Thursday morning coffee. Bud loved to travel, especially if it was to Hawaii, and he enjoyed reading and learning new things. He and Camilla were married 61 years and would often go dancing during their time together. For their 50th wedding anniversary, Bud’s request was that the entire family join them in Hawaii to celebrate the occasion. Spending time with family was Bud’s true passion and having them all together was one of his greatest joys.
