Lloyd Curry

Lloyd Curry, 80, of Georgetown, passed away at 10:00am, Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman. He was born on July 2, 1937, in Jerseyville, KY, the son of Lawrence and Ethel {Williams} Curry. He was married to Sharon Biscart for 31 years. He was later married to Shirley Carter on October 9, 2009. She survives. He is also survived by: his son, Michael (Gayle) Curry of Jacksonville, FL; his daughter, Michele (Eric) Coffing of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Christine White, Clay Curry, Shane Curry, Channing Potter, Cherish Potter, & Chase Potter; his great grandchildren, Haven Potter, Hunter Potter, Brayton White, & Lane White; his step-children, Lisa (Tim) Frazeur, Sheryl (Don) Fick, Susan (Chad) Vick, Troy (Shelly) Carter, & John (Tisha) Carter; his 14 step grandchildren; and 6 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Lloyd worked as a Plumber for Rileys in Champaign, but his passion was being a Pastor which he did for 50 plus years. He greatly enjoyed working at Camp Assurance. Lloyd loved his family and cherished his time with them. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held at 11:00am, Friday, September 1, 2017, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, with Pastor Aaron Rohde and Pastor Doug McCord officiating. Visitation will be held 9am to 11am on Friday prior to his service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Gundy Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in Lloyd's name to Camp Assurance.
