Lloyd And Jo Ann White

Lloyd Herman White, age 76, and his wife Jo Ann (Bachman) White, age 73, both of Danville, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Lloyd was born February 16, 1932 in the township of Catlin, IL the son of Herman and Zelma (Cook) White. He married Deloris Maxine Swaney on June 22, 1956 in Danville. She preceded him in death in 1979. He then married Jo Ann Bachman on July 26, 1985 in Danville. Jo Ann was born January 16, 1935 in Danville the daughter of Fred Oran and Clairadell (Anderson) Sams. She married Willard Eugene Bill Bachman in November of 1962 in Paris, IL. He preceded her in death in November 23, 1978. Lloyd and Jo Ann are survived by their children: Jeff (Jillian) White of Danville, Todd Willard (Barbara) Bachman of Portland, Oregon, Tracy Jo (Upal) Sengupta of Beloit, Wisconsin, Charles Mickey (Marlene) Parliament of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and three grandchildren: Heather Elizabeth, Christopher Anthony, and Shawn Joseph. Lloyd is also survived by one brother: Floyd (Beverly) White of Covington, IN; one sister: Erma (Frank) Chiaramello of Danville. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and one sister: Jeanetta Johnson. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Bill, and an infant sister. Lloyd graduated from Catlin High school and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a machinist for Homes Brothers, Lenny Machine Shop and Town Machine where he retired from in 1993. Lloyd enjoyed traveling, fishing, Putt Putt golf and playing cards with his wife and family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Lloyd was a member of the American Legion. Jo Ann graduated Salutatorian from Homer High School. She worked as a bookkeeper/Secretary for Time-O-Matic and Signatrol both in Danville. Jo Ann loved movies and taking care of her cats. She enjoyed flower arranging, playing cards, and doing volunteer work with children. She was in a bowling league at Lincoln Lanes for many years. Jo Ann was a PTA room mother at Roselawn School and taught Sunday school at Central Christian Church. She was a very generous woman that loved being around children. Lloyd and Jo Ann were both members of Central Christian Church of Danville and the Catlin Historical Society. They both enjoyed spending time together gardening. A celebration of the lives of Lloyd and Jo Ann White will be held on Monday, October 6, 2008 at 10 am at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville with Hank Anderson officiating. Burial for Lloyd will follow the service at Oakridge Cemetery in Catlin and Jo Anns will follow Lloyds at the GAR cemetery in Homer, IL.
